It was an iron day...

Tomorrow is going to be a hellacious training day. Tonight I was doing the dad thing and helping Reid get his mini bike going and before I knew it, it was too late to get to the pool before it closed. Which means it's swim, bike and running sessions tomorrow. I'm glad I got my weight training done at lunch time or it would be even worse.

During today's weight training session I was a little concerned about my very mild groin pull from yesterday, especially when I was doing my power squats and lunges. Surprisingly, it felt pretty good and I actually thought it started to get better by the end of the day. I think the Advil may have also helped.

The only workout that seemed to stress it was tricep pull downs. I'm almost wondering if I have a minor hernia. I've had this in the past and it usually goes away and I can still train through it. My only concern is that I've never tried racing through it and I'm scheduled to race a half marathon on Sunday. I want to go all out but I don't want to injure myself. Especially when my first triathlon is only 6 weeks away and a road race is much less important that an triathlon. My biggest concern is injuring myself and jeopardizing my triathlon season. My plan is to wait until Saturday and make the assessment and decision to race it or just use it as a training run.
