Alice and I didn't get to bed until 5 am and I had to get up for 9 am because Henry was coming by to do work on my bar. It was a good thing I set the alarm because if I didn't I
definitely wouldn't have heard the doorbell ring. While Henry worked, I was hurting, all I wanted to do was go back to bed. While he worked I made myself a grand slam breakfast of pancakes, an egg, bacon and rye toast. Henry only took about an hour and a half, thank goodness, and I went right back to bed and slept till 2 pm. The rest of the day was grocery shopping and coming home and napping. I also booked flights to
Las Vegas for "work" and then Alice is going to join me and we are going to "play". We had our regular family Sunday steak dinner and by 8 pm I was on my bike for my long ride. I made a point not to look at my watch. I find that if I don't look at the watch time goes by faster. When I did look at it, I only had 1 minute of riding left. The time flew by and my legs felt really good and strong. This ride was also one of those days where you just sweat salt and it smells like you were training. Even when I had my shower the salt was burning my eyes. I guess my body was detoxing.
Long Bike / 2 hours / 36.47 miles / 18.24 mph
