Epic Drive Home…

We woke up at the crack of 11 am, got dressed and was immediately on the road and shortly thereafter stopped for a nice greasy sausage and egg breakfast.

I knew I didn’t go overboard last night because I fell asleep with my pants off and was under the bedsheets. Although, I wasn't perfect, I still had my t-shirt and pullover sweater on.

If I fall asleep with all my clothes on, I know I went overboard. I guess I just went half overboard. I was relieved to see my pants were off, if they weren’t, it would have been my third day in a row falling asleep with all my clothes on and on the top of the bed sheets. For sure it would have been a PB. I think.

We spent most of the day driving home. It’s actually a pretty easy drive, about 5 hours. Other than almost getting hit head on by a semi-truck, it was an uneventful ride home. The only downside was I was tired and had to have Doru do some of the driving while I got caught up on my blogging.

On the way home, I bought a sculptured wooden bear. Every time I look at it, I’ll remember the Epic two nights of partying at Lake Placid, oh, and I almost forgot, our training as well.

I got home around 7 pm and from the moment I walked in the door Reid was all over me about getting a cell phone. He even printed out the picture of one. He figures if he focuses on it enough, the "Law of Attraction" will take over and he’ll get one by August. I taught him about the LOA, ever since I've starting using it, I've gotten great parking spaces.

I asked Alice if she missed me, she said, “yeah, but I didn’t miss getting to bed at 4 am”. I then cracked a beer and asked the family if they have any ideas of what we should call the little bear. No "home run" name ideas.

I guess it will be nameless and one day the name will come to us. Just like it did with our cigar store Indian “Chief So-sore”.

The Chief was named after Davis Sohor drank a 60 ounce bottle of Crown Royal the night I brought my cigar store friend home. The next morning Davis was feeling pretty sore. Hence the nickname So-sore evolved from Sohor. To immortalize that night and Davis's accomplishment, the Indian was appropriately named "Chief So-sore".

Post Revision: After sitting at our downstairs bar and looking at our little buddy bear, we realized it looked like it was begging and I was drinking a beer, so we name it "Begging Beer". We call him BB for short.

Travel and Liver and Calf Recovery Day – No training.

I was going to say that the bear was missing some beer...then got to the comment that he is now BB. :)

Hopefully BB doesn't steal beer...

Love the fact that you bought that to immortalize your Epic Training!

On a side note, nice score on the Indian man cigar shop statue, those are pretty bad ass. Since you smoke cigars, I would say perfect fit!

I smell another bet in order for Reid to get the cell phone... How about making sure he places in his swim meet say top 3???

Love BB, but he should have a beer in his paws..And for the record, I realize I went to far the night before if my clothes are off, not on. Just saying. :)

Sounds like Epic was good!

D, that is actually a pretty good name. Very cleaver. haha.

JM, thanks, I'm thinking of joining the pro party circuit. haha.

M, I hope get doesn't steel beer, I couldn't bear it. (pun intended). Thanks, the Indian was a bit of a steal, haha, that's a story unto itself. I'm not betting Reid for a while, I don't have enough money to lose. haha.

C, hahaha. That's definitely true in a girls case. In the guys case, it would be a "happy ending" to the night. haha. You with drunk and waking up with no clothes, " now that's EPIC". haha.
