Last night I had to fast in preparation for my ultrasound on my abdomen today. I was up later than I wanted to be and our new neighbor Jeff came by for some beers and we smoked some cigars.
I also went to the walk in clinic about the possibility of a stress fracture on my heel and they set up an MRI for tomorrow morning. It seems that all I've been doing for the past couple of weeks is going to doctors and for tests.
Today was a mentally strange day. It took me some time to get back into the training mode. I kept telling myself that "all is for not" and went for a bike ride. I took it easy and tried not to injure it further. It didn't hurt when I finished, which is a good thing.
It was one of the most enjoyable bike rides I can remember having in a long time. I was able to look around and "smell the roses". I even took a picture of one of the house's I regularly ride by. What I like about this house is they have a golf hole and a football post in their yard. I think that is so cool.
The only downside of taking it easy on the ride is when I got chased two dogs, at two different times, I didn't put it in high gear and instead relied on my yelling to keep them at bay.

I used to run ever summer in Italy where my parents are from. It's the country side so plenty of dogs. I would freak out when the dogs starting chasing me until I realized that they just wanted to come along for a ride. Those dogs got some work out.
Hope all this tests work out for the best.
I'll have to remember that next time.
