I O.D.'d on sugar last night. I had turtles, the ice cream cake and the candy at the theatre. By midnight I was in a sugar induced coma. This morning I was up at 7:30 am. I should have went back to bed, but I decided to get my itunes organized and put on my iPhone. I did around 4 hours in the morning, did some errands, one of which was to pick up my Garmin 405 watch. When I got to the store they had it but I was getting mixed reviews that it is hard to read and use and the older 305 version my be better. The only problem was that it was only $30 less than the 405. While at the store I used my iPhone to surf the web and price shop and found the same 305 for sale at Mountain Equipment Co-op for $235 versus $319. So needless to say I didn't buy it.
When I got home I was back on the computer for another 3-4 hours. I was getting mentally burnt out so I went for a pre race run. Tomorrow I have a 10 km road race. It was an easy run around 120 bpm with about five 10 second surges. Afterwards I had a good stretch and some protein whey and recoverite. Just for the record, I didn't have a beer on my birthday or since last Friday. I know John Barclay is reading this in disbelief.
