Winters coming...

I really wanted to ride this morning or come home from work early and ride before it got dark. The weather man also said it was going to snow and I wanted to beat the snow. I also wanted to see if my new cycling jacket would keep me warm at below 0. Turns out it started to snow before I left work and by the time I got home the streets were full of thick white snow and it was slippery. When I got home I went to the neighbors to get my old bike to use the back skewer on my Trek on the wind trainer.

After scrubbing more songs on the computer and learning how to download video from my new video camera I set up my bike and did an hour ride. Being my first inside ride in a long time I forgot what it felt like. I was actually surprised how it gave me a good workout and I could feel my hamstrings getting a good workout. My heart rate was between 130 - 140 bpm. I also forgot how much I sweat inside. By the time I was done I was dripping wet. I actually started to get the chills afterward and had to towel myself down. The first 30 minutes went pretty quick the last 30 dragged. It will take a while until I can get into a trance like state so the time goes by quickly.

Bike / 1 hour / 18.87 miles
