The weather across the country has been cold this week. In Winnipeg it was -50 C today and here in Toronto it was unusually cold at - 20 C, the average this time of year is -2C. To people in Toronto, -20 C is super cold, they shut down and stay in doors, in Winnipeg - 20 C is a warm winter day. Because I'm from Winnipeg, going for a run in -20C is a nice run. The beauty tonight was that no one was out walking their dogs and I didn't have to dodge dogs and worry whether they were going to jump at me. So many owners keep a loose leash. Tonight was an easy night and all I had to do was a 45 minute tempo run. One of the highlights of my run was that I got to listen to all the new songs I put on my iPhone. I only picked ones that I REALLY liked and it made a difference on the run, especially when your listening to lyrics like "hot sun in the summer time" and it's snowing. For some reason the song does warm you up a little.
