I was looking forward to trying out my new bike on the wind trainer tonight. I got off to a slow start because Apple iLife 09 arrived and I was playing with it. I got hooked on the face recognition feature in iPhoto. It is really cool, I can identify a face and it will scan all my pictures and find those people. I ended up getting out the door for a run around 7:30 pm. I had a really good run, I kept the heart rate under 128 bpm for most of the ride and it didn't get above 133 bpm and I still managed to keep an 8:12 pace. When I got back I need to get my bike ready to ride. It wasn't a simple operation. I needed to change the wheels, take the old bike off the trainer, set up the new bike and do some tweaking. It took a bit longer than I thought it would and I had my little hiccups. The first was that the speedometer wasn't installed right by the shop and the wheel came off the rim when I inflated it. Other than that it went alright. I spent the night riding, editing my pictures on my mac and watching TV. The bike rode much smoother than my Quintana Roo and may even be more smoother than my Trek. I've got a good vibe already. I rode at a moderate pace with the heart rate around 128 bpm.
Run - 40:13 / 4.90 miles / 8:12 pace
Bike - 80 minutes / 21 miles
