I finally had some gas in the tank...

Today was a good day.

649 sent me a check for my $5 win, whoo hoo. Then I decided to take a lunch to work and used Reid's Kiss lunch kit, the guys at work laughed and even asked if I had a "wagon wheel" in it, which I did. They laughed again.

After work, John and I met for our Friday night running speed work session. It is not something I look forward to, as there is "pain" and "suffering" involved. Also, I was tired tonight, but I know once I get going I wake up.

Tonight was a little different, as I felt strong and the workout suited my strengths. Most of the workout was long fast runs and we were running 1:40 per 400 meters, our lowest was 1:36 per 400. I knew I was feeling good near the end because John didn't pass me. He normally passes me on the last couple of sets, just to keep me humble, but not today.
