Thank God for John...

Another good night's sleep, 8 1/2 hours.

I was still mentally tired by the end of the work day and left work a little early to get a jump on my speed work run session.

John wasn't sure if he was going to be able to join me this week, but in the end he was able to, which was great. I was so tired before I began and flat during the run, although John pushed me through.

He was fresh and fast. He was even able to talk a little during the speed work. I told him if he can talk, he's not going fast enough. Near the end of the workout, he would take the lead and it helped push me to keep up with him.

I really do not like speed work, but it is a necessary evil. At the end of the run I felt good, I felt refreshed. There is nothing like finishing speed work, there is a sense of accomplishment.

When I got home, I had a hot shower and afterwards had a good stretching session.

John wondered if my family was "cool" with all the training I'm doing. When I got home I asked Alice and she said it doesn't bother her. She said, to her it doesn't feel that I'm not home that much. It's all good...for now anyways.

Now I'm off for dinner with the family and the endorphins are flowing. I hate Friday's work out session and I love Friday's workout session!
