A good miserably weather day...

For the 2nd day in a row, I've felt good. I think the over training effects are wearing off.

After work, I met John for our Friday night at the races. We had our speed work session and John wasn't feeling as quick as normal, as he just came of a 90 km and tons of training this week. Although with that said, he did pretty good and kicked my ass on the 8 x 100's, but I got him on the 3 x 1600's.

Todays workout was 3 x 1600 meters. It is my perfect distance, the longer the better. The first lap we did it in 6:36, the second was 6:33 and the last I did in 6:15. I wore 4 layers of clothing to help me acclimatize to Florida weather and I was sweating big time.

I felt great during the run, I focused on trying to be light and have a high leg turnover. I've also lost some weight which may have helped. As of this morning I'm down to 175.8 lbs.

Today my new Desoto Triathlon shorts and shirt arrived in the mail, it was just like Christmas. I put it on and Alyssa admitted I'm now looking like a triathlete. Last year she said I didn't look like a triathlete at any of the races.

Progress!
