The ground hog woke up...


All I did yesterday was sleep. I figured that in total I slept 17 hours. I still didn't feel 100% today, I was still recovering from the weekend.

I had a my scheduled annual physical this morning. The doctor was pleased with my transition over the last year. He recommended that I find a nutritionist and he gave me the card to a natureopathic nutritionist, who I called and he's so busy that the earliest he could see me was July.

After this weekend and the abuse I put my body through and the length of time it takes to recover, I think I'm going to start slowing down on the partying front, or a minimum, moderate it.

I rushed home from work today and tried to eat as fast as possible, as I had a 2 hour and 45 minute bike ride. I ended up getting out the door at 5:45 pm and had a good ride at a moderate pace. I averaged 29.7 kph for 86.5 kms and got home at dusk. You can tell it is spring, there is a lot of bugs hitting me during my ride.

I decided not to weight train today because of the soreness in my chest. The doctor told me that it is bruised and can take 4 - 6 weeks to heal. He said the ideal thing to do is rest it, but understood that wasn't an option with the training I need to do.
