Wet'n Wild and a little sore...

Last night we celebrated with some cocktails. Alice, Alyssa and I had a good time and some good conversation. I still can't believe how well I did, I just can't believe it!

After a good night sleep we headed out to Wet'n Wild Water Park. To me, it felt like my first day of holiday's.

I realized after I got to the water park that it wasn't the greatest idea, in that I had to walk up a lot of stairs. My legs were sore, but not to sore to walk up stars, but sore enough that I couldn't run if I wanted to.

The other reasons I wouldn't be able to run are due to a blister on my left heal and major, and I mean major, chaffing in the groin area. It turns out the triathlon shorts I used have too small of a chamois for long distance. Also, my chest still hurts from the "donkey kick" I got during the swim portion of the race.

But I can't stop thinking about my race time. Doing a sub 5 hour half Ironman is like doing a sub 3 hour marathon. To think less than one year ago I did my first triathlon in years, I was in the Clydesdale division (men over 210 lbs and finished 550th out of 600, and now I finished 161st out of 2000. I just can't believe it!!!
