Stuffed Up...

Today was a tough day, I didn't think I was going to make it through the work day. I have flu like symptoms. My plan was to get into work, get all my important stuff done and leave early and go home to bed. I didn't get out until 4:45pm.

I was also tired from getting Reid to his 6:40am hockey practice on only 5 hours of sleep (it's so tough to fall asleep after a late night hockey game) and not being able to use my cpap because of my stuffed nose.

Whaaaaa...poor me:-)

When I got home I was exhausted. So I ate and went to bed. I woke up around 8:00pm and was wondering if I should go to swimming or rest. My head told me to rest, but it was all academic. When I checked the web site for swimming, I realized it had already started. So I guess I rest. Which is probably best!

Alice picked me up some prescription Pennsaid, a topical anti-inflammatory, to rub on my left Achilles. Also, I woke up this morning with a sore inner knee. I guess it was from falling at hockey or overuse by playing hockey the same day as my long run.

In either event, it wasn't there last night. But from now on, I'm going to do my long runs on Saturday and long bikes on Sunday. This way my legs won't be too tired for Sunday night's hockey.

Legs feel good, slight soreness, which is a good thing. It means muscle is growing and a day of rest is probably a good thing.

My picture of the day is yesterday's lunch. Cornflakes with bananas and raspberries.
