From a hard week to a not so hard week...

I'm racing in an Olympic Distance triathlon in Guelph this weekend, so this week is a taper week. After last week's mega training mileage I'm looking forward to this week.

Today was running speed work at the track. It was a simple 10 minute warm up and then 1.5 miles running hard on the straights and easy on the corners, followed by a 5 minute warm down. Within 25 minutes I was done. It was a nice easy workout.

I've got to be careful this week that I don't over eat because my body is so efficient at storing food as fat, that if I over eat, I'll gain weight and I don't want to race with extra pounds.
