Oh how I'm sick and tired of this weather...

I wasn't looking forward to tonight's 90 minute tempo ride for two reasons. The first was that my legs are very sore, especially from yesterday's weight training and the second reason is the weather SUCKS!!! It was only 17C, cloudy, windy and slightly rainy. As I write this, my hands are still frozen from the ride.

Oh how I'm so looking forward to hot and humid weather. They say this weekend it is going to get into the 30's C. I'll believe it when I see it, today was supposed to be 24 C.

The ride ended up being okay. I pushed it between 129 - 139 bpm and at times was flying. Again, I was surprised at how low my average speed was, it was 31.8 kph for 48 km. I was going really fast for a lot of the ride and was expecting the average to be in the 33 kph range.

My chest is feeling much better, I think that Arnica gel and tablets really work for me. I tried it on my buttocks last night and it has really taken away the pain in less than one day.

The highlight of my ride was that my Desoto triathlon shorts felt great. They felt like a second skin. The only other two tests I need to put them through is the long ride test and the swim test.

On the family front, Reid got a long board today. I cost way to much and I don't like that Alice just buys it for him, although she says he is going to pay her back. One positive it that it is getting him to exercise. He was on it for over 2.5 hours today.
