Last night was a celebration night. We barbecued and had some cocktails and I had a nice big cigar. I was so happy with my race performance, I just wanted to savour the flavor.
Today was a new day. It was back to healthy eating and training. After work I went for a post race massage and the therapist said she found no "knots" or tight muscles. It just shows that the 15 minutes of stretching I do after training sessions is working.
I also talked to the owner at my local bike shop about the chain slipping off the small gear on my rear hub during the race. He thinks it is an adjustment that will fix it, but also told me that it is not a good thing to shift down a few gears all at once. He said I should do it gradually.
My training session tonight was an easy 500 meter swim. I took Reid with me and we both did laps. For an 11 year old he has a very nice stroke. After the swim I had a nice sauna and sweat.
