I went to bed at 10 pm last night and slept for 12 hours. I needed the sleep badly. I probably only had about 10 hours of sleep over the past 3 days.
I was still really tired and I knew I had to get back to training today. It helps bring normality to me physically and mentally. After dinner I did a 30 minute bike ride, followed by a 15 minute run. The pace was easy and under 134 bpm.
Once the run was over and I stretched thoroughly, I could tell my legs were starting to feel better. Tomorrow I start back at the heavy duty training days and for the next 6 weeks it is going to be intense. The next race I have is the Louisville Ironman.
