We got to bed at 4:30 am and I was up by 10:30 am. I was still a little tipsy from last night. The minute I got up, and everyone else was still sleeping, I decided to do my pre-race training ride and run. I went out for a 30 minute ride and did a 15 minute brick run right afterwards.
I was still feeling the effects of last night and could feel a hangover coming on, so I decided to keep drinking, hoping it would help avert it. Right after my run and and for breakfast I had a beer.
It ended up that we relaxed on the deck all afternoon, barbecued and spent the day recovering. I ended up having about a dozen beers between noon and 11 pm. I'm not sure if it is a smart thing to do, considering I have a race tomorrow morning, but I had to make a judgment call and I'll find out if I made the right call tomorrow morning. However, I was able to avert the hangover.
