Still fighting with the Colonel...

I was glad I didn't go out last night. It turned out that I started to get really tired and couldn't stop my lower body from sweating. I watched the Tour and kept falling in and out of sleep. As much as I had a long day of training, that wasn't the only reason why I was tired, it was the two days of partying and specifically eating too much KFC. I know this sounds strange, but I swear that my major organs and my plumbing system have been gravely effected by my overdosing on a bucket of KFC chicken. I now remember why I don't go there more that once every year or two.

I went to bed early last night and woke up at 8:30 am to coach Reid's game. We lost, again, I'm now a perfect 0 - 10. When I woke up I still felt terrible, the sweating was gone but I was a little shaky and was still burping up chicken from two days ago. I haven't been able to get on a proper urination routine from the massive salt and grease intake. I figured the best thing to do is to try and eat well, drink plenty of water and exercise.

After the game and some errands I needed to run, Alice and I went for lunch at Cora's. My daughter just got a job at the new one opening in Burlington in August and Alice had never been there before. We ordered healthy and had a LOT of fruit. Once we finished, I dropped Alice off at home and went to the Oakville YMCA for my long swim workout.

I ended up doing 5000 meters in just under 2 hours. The 900 meters on the kick board was fun, especially the 600 at the end of the swim. Overall I felt pretty good and the swim started to get me to feel a little better, at least I had to get out of the pool and go to the washroom a couple of times, even it it was a tinkle.

I was able to get into a good rhythm and as time went on, I actually started to get faster. Other than being "hit" on by an older gay guy, with a Village people mustache, who was trying to talk to me as I was showering, the swim was uneventful.
